The easy way to get to Holbox

You read about the island, you saw the pictures, you fell in love with Holbox. But… how to get there?

Don’t worry. There’s a fast, comfortable, safe, nothing-to-think-about way: you can hire a transfer.

There are other ways. If you have a very limited budget, you have to make your way to a bus terminal (Cancun Centro, Playa del Carmen, Tulum) and get a bus ticket to Chiquila. Just try to plan ahead because there are only a few services to this town and only in the morning. And keep your belongings close to you on the bus because things tend to “disappear”. From Chiquila, go to the port and buy a ferry ticket (there are two companies, same price) and, once in Holbox, take a golf-cart taxi to your hotel. On the other hand, if money isn’t an issue and you don’t like roads, Holbox counts with a little airport (ask us how to fly to Holbox).
